The FR-A10005 and FR-A10005DS Fire Rated Monitored Double Mini Magnetic Locks are compact electromagnetic locking solutions designed for use with access control systems, emergency door systems, fire doors, and door entry systems. Suitable for commercial, industrial, educational, healthcare, and public sector environments, they provide reliable door security whilst meeting fire door installation requirements.

An electromagnetic lock, magnetic lock, or maglock consists of an electromagnet mounted to the door frame and a corresponding armature plate fixed to the door. When power is applied, a magnetic field is generated that securely holds the armature plate against the magnet, creating a strong locking force. As these devices are fail-safe, the lock releases automatically when power is removed.

Manufactured with a durable aluminium housing and electroless nickel-plated armature plate, the FR-A10005 range offers a holding force of up to 2 x 600lbs (272kg). Both models include lock status monitoring with an output for connection to compatible access control systems. Each lock also features LED lock status indication, showing green when unlocked and red when locked. The FR-A10005DS version additionally includes a door status output.

Both the FR-A10005 and FR-A10005DS versions have been fire tested to BS EN 1634-1 and are suitable for installation on FD30 and FD60 fire doors.
