Door Retaining Magnets

Fire rated door retaining magnets are designed to safely hold compatible fire doors open during normal operation and automatically release them when the connected fire alarm system is activated.

Also known as fire door retainers, electromagnetic door holders or fire door hold open magnets, these devices allow fire doors to remain open for convenience and accessibility while ensuring they can close automatically when required.

Our range of fire rated door retaining magnets includes flush-mounted, surface-mounted and floor-mounted options to suit different installation requirements. Selected models are available in 12VDC and 24VDC versions and incorporate integrated override switches for local door release.

Fire rated models in this collection are tested to BS EN 1155 for electrically powered hold-open devices and fire tested to BS EN 1634-1 for use with compatible fire door assemblies.
