Fire rated standard magnetic locks, also known as magnetic locks or maglocks, use an electromagnet and armature plate to hold the door securely closed while power is applied. When power is removed, the lock releases, making them suitable for integration with access control systems, emergency door release equipment and other compatible control devices.

Our fire rated standard maglock range includes models tested to BS EN 1634-1, with options suitable for FD30 and FD60 door applications where the complete door set, hardware specification and installation method meet the relevant certification requirements.

Standard magnetic locks typically provide a holding force of up to 1200lbs (544kg), making them suitable for commercial, industrial and public sector access control applications where a higher level of holding force is required.
