M1 / M1A Series Electric Release Lock (Rim Strike)

The M1 and M1A Electric Release Locks are versatile Euro-style electric strikes designed for use with access control systems, door entry systems, intercoms, and electronic locking applications. Suitable for commercial, industrial, educational, healthcare, residential, and public sector environments, they provide reliable controlled access for timber and metal doors fitted with compatible lock-cases.

An electric release lock, also known as an electric strike, rim strike, or latch release, replaces the standard strike plate within the door frame. When activated by an access control system, keypad, card reader, or exit device, the release pivots to allow the latch to pass freely, permitting authorised entry or exit. Once the door closes, the latch automatically re-engages, restoring security.

Available in both fail secure and fail safe versions, the M1 and M1A can operate on either 12VDC or 24VDC depending on the selected model. Both units are supplied with mortice and rim mounting plates for installation flexibility, while the M1A additionally features an adjustable jaw to simplify alignment and improve installation on a wider range of door and frame configurations.
