The ABLOY EL404 Electromechanical Lock is a DIN standard single-point electric lockcase designed for use on profile doors where electronic access control and high door usage are required. It provides a practical locking solution for applications where the door needs to open by either pushing or pulling once access has been authorised.

Designed for high-traffic doors, the EL404 can be electrically controlled by an access control system, card reader, keypad, timer or other suitable remote-control device. When electrical control is activated, the door can be opened by pushing or pulling, while mechanical opening by key or thumbturn remains possible at all times.

The EL404 includes a day function where the door can remain open and a secure mode where the lock automatically deadlocks when the door closes. Its symmetrical trigger bolt also allows it to be used on suitable swinging door applications, and the lock can be connected to compatible automatic swing door operators.

Suitable for apartment buildings, business premises, healthcare environments, educational facilities and other commercial applications, the EL404 provides a flexible electric locking solution for profile doors where reliable access control and frequent operation are required.
